Beyond excited to partner with and to see how the team is going to revolutionise manufacturing with the help of modular production! It is hard to believe, but conveyor belt has remained almost unchained for 100+ years and is still at the core of almost every factory

And don't get me wrong Kieran it would be great if you could get FFund. I'm just saying I get why YC ask for USTopco and I think hurdles to flipping back are protecting that. Same as if a USCo flipped into UK for FFund. Wouldn't want them to take cash and easily jump right back.

Hurdles to flipping back are to discourage exactly what you're hoping to do and encourage you to raise/be active stateside. You've used UStopco loophole to benefit from YC (US program) despite being 'fully UK'. Not really fair to allow you to easily do it in reverse.

Have seen a lot of calls for the to be adapted to become S/EIS eligible for investors. Here’s a few reasons why I think it’s unlikely and with good reason: 1/ Presumably, the calls are for co’s within the S/EIS net to benefit (i.e. raised between £0-£12m to date)

Also agree re: SV experience but then why the need for a US topco? I can't imagine it's a legal requirement for the 'experience getting' so I would assume it's to encourage ultimately expanding/selling/listing stateside in which case being cheap/quick to flip back to UK hurts US?

That's sort of the point though. Flipping to US for YC encourages innovation in the US, the same way as Future Fund is targeting UK startups. Doesn't seem right to allow flip-flopping between countries depending on what's on offer, as much for YC/US's benefit as for UK/FFund's

YC: you need a US parent to be on this US program Startups: OK Future Fund: you need a UK parent to get support from the UK Fund Startups: That's ridiculous
