“Describing what would need to be dug up to access the gold and copper, the very landscape of Bristol Bay — things like trees, vegetation, wetlands, fishing rivers, and wildlife habitat, the video used the word, “overburden.”” = GIANT

American Rivers 20h
The Bristol Bay region sustains world-class sport fishing and hunting, and an Indigenous subsistence culture that has thrived for millennia. The Bay itself is a famous commercial fishery that supplies over half the world’s sockeye salmon.

Our Great Lakes are a precious resource. Over 50mil people get their drinking water from them. Removing protections is misguided and unnecessary. Environmental protection doesn't hinder economy. Canadian and American mayors stand united in protecting these waters
