Senate Bill 2085 passed the Senate yesterday. This bill requires insurance companies to offer more options for mental health care to patients. Mental health issues are a serious and real problem, and I'm proud to help address them!

Today I passed Senate Bill 1639 out of the Senate. This bill requires that state employees establish residency within the state. If state workers are being paid by taxpayers, then they should be subject to those same taxes.

My bill, Senate Bill 1116, was approved by the Senate today. This is a bill removing a loophole that sometimes leaves victims of abuse with no legal recourse if they turn 18 years old before court proceedings occur.

Today, I passed SB2085 out of committee. This bill requires insurance providers to offer coverage of Collaborative Care Models for mental health issues. This will allow patients in Illinois to have more freedom to seek out the care that is best for them.
