Yesterday, I attended the Cresson Bypass Groundbreaking Ceremony with my colleagues Rep. Mike Lang, Rep. Dewayne Burns, Mayor Bob Cornett, and many other elected officials, former and still serving, who have work tirelessly over these last few years on this critical project.

Today, the Senate passed House Bill 3. I was not supportive of the initial version of the bill that came to the Senate floor due to the inherent assumption of a sales tax increase, but several necessary amendments were added to make the bill supportable. See my statement below.

Today, the Texas Senate finally passed Senate Bill 2 by . Senate Bill 2 will have a significant effect on curtailing the rapid growth in property valuations and rate of growth in property tax bills that is, in its current form, unsustainable.
