The U.S. is sanctioning PRC tech firm CEIEC for enabling the Maduro regime’s efforts to undermine democracy in Venezuela. Their support to restrict internet service and conduct digital surveillance against political opponents is robbing Venezuelans of a democratic future.

Venezuela used to be a prosperous country. Under Maduro's corrupt and incompetent rule, the people of Venezuela are suffering. The U.S. is helping the Venezuelan people in tangible ways, and we support a return to democracy through free and fair elections.

We unequivocally condemn the wrongful convictions of the Citgo 6 in Venezuela. There was no justice, no evidence, and no opportunity for defense. The use of a legal system to exert political power is yet another example of why free and fair elections are needed in Venezuela.

The Administration has built out real coalitions– the coalition that crushed the caliphate in Syria, the coalition that’s pushed back on the Chinese Communist Party, a coalition that refused to appease Iran's regime. The list of what we’ve done is great.

The U.S. is sanctioned four entities in China and Russia for their support of Iran's missile program, which remains a significant proliferation concern. We will continue to use all our sanctions tools to prevent Iran from advancing its missile capabilities.

The U.S. imposed sanctions on Mohamed al-Kani and the Kaniyat militia in connection with the massacre of hundreds of civilians in recent years. We'll continue to take concrete actions in response to grave human rights abuse which undermines Libya’s peace, security, and stability.

We urge the Cuban regime to cease harassment of San Isidro Movement protestors and to release musician Denis Solís, who was unjustly sentenced to eight months in prison. Freedom of expression is a human right. The United States stands with Cuba’s people.

Constructive visit with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in NEOM today. The United States and Saudi Arabia have come a long way since President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and King Abdul Aziz Al Saud first laid the foundation for our ties 75 years ago.
