But my favorite was La Comedia of Errors. It was a modern take on the Bard’s play with confused identities across the US/Mexico border. It was half in English; half in Spanish with enough context to get the story in either language. Lights on. Audience in the action. Brilliant!

This year, the hot ticket was Cambodian Rock Band. It combined upbeat Surfer music (check out Dengue Fever) and stories of war and atrocities. Deeply powerful. It’s not all Shakespeare

That photo is from the 2017 production of Merry Wives of Windsor. It was intertwined with pop song cliches. The guy in red played a French fool. When he belted out, “Psycho killer, Qu'est-ce”, it brought down the house!

I can’t help it. I live in Ashland - a theater town. A tough theater town.

That was from the film West Side Story. The play is even tougher.

Good suggestion! After a long flight delay, I’m just happy to eat and have a beer at 1am. Remember when we used to eat meals on airplanes? (Yes, I earned an OK boomer point here.)

One huge difference: McCoy was from Fresno then USC. Dissly is playing for his home team. Also, I think an Achilles injury is as tough as it gets. My HS tore his. Terrible. (Respect Sherm’s comeback!) Hopefully, Dissly can come back strong from his knee injury.

I’m in NYC right now. I have yet to have really good Mexican food here. Had some late night chicken tacos at a brew pub. Everything about them was good, except one thing: buffalo sauce? Really? The west coast is the best coast!

The biggest advancement of the Internet age is being able to store our junk in the cloud. Much easier to move that way. Books, music, film, music, documents? No moving boxes necessary!

In tonight’s science experiment, the New York Giants proved that you indeed cannot win a football game in the second quarter.

Leaders can either waste time on the past hoping and wishing you had done something different or Leaders can choose to spend time focusing on winning the next moment. I choose the latter. #3
