But seriously, the best step forward is so blatantly obvious that it's boggling my mind they don't just ship him to Bakersfield. They literally said in the post-Chiarelli conference that that was the plan. Just stop going to the games.

NHL rookie with AHL time this season, I'd say so. I've added NHL rookies, but once they cross a full season, they're removed.

Planning on updating the NHL Drafted Prospect sheet with the new NHLeScore that factors points per game in as well as INV%, but there's 1 team with five 20+ prospects (1st round value or more). St. Louis. Dominik Bokk Jordan Kyrou Scott Perunovich Robert Thomas Tyler Tucker

You got me going on a Vaasan Sport kick last night. I'm very much liking his linemate Eemil Erholtz. Wouldn't think that would be a terrible swing either.

All this, going by wins, and extending OT to 10 minutes and I'd never not watch hockey.

Just realized how unfavourable Vegas' playoff situation is. 9 points back of CGY+SJ, who are tied and have games in hand. Should VGK go on a run, they'd be battling to play a wild card team (DAL/STL). Instead, they're looking at CGY/SJ. Denying them that chance is pivotal.

But he didn't. They went out and scored 5 goals in the last 40 minutes of the game and sent Vegas home with a pretty hefty loss and helped solidify their spot in a VERY difficult playoff slot. That's the difference between good hockey teams now, and decades of bad hockey brain.

Also, you don't think the guys on Toronto, many of whom have literally developed and grown into the NHL together, aren't on the bench SEETHING after seeing McNabb knee out Johnsson? That's borderline insulting, to be honest. I bet Kasperi Kapanen wanted to eat McNabb's foot.

I've watched plenty of Sioux City. Pospisil is fine, but yeah, Brink is hilarious.

Because, say it with me: Fighting is dumb, and taking minor penalties is bad. Very, very bad.

What, if any indication is there that this management group would entertain the idea of bringing a guy in who "can play hockey but also stand up for guys"? By that you insinuate you want retaliation, which leads to PIMs, which TOR are clearly adverse to having in their roster.

4) The most important thing, they went out and scored 5 goals on Vegas after the knee and won the game. Was Brayden McNabb really going to be deterred if someone like Wayne Simmonds were on the team? So Simmonds can go out and take an instigator and put the Leafs down a man?

3) Anyone brought in requires a name either being waived or sent back, and they clearly want to keep Holl around, so any move would likely have to be an upgrade on someone, but the partner would need to WANT that player back. Gauthier? Who's clamoring to grab him for a rebuild?

2) I've tried to watch as much hockey outside of Toronto as I can this season, and from what I've seen when they're at their best, they're one of the best looking teams in the league. Tampa, San Jose, Calgary and arguably Vegas look scary, but Toronto should be in that group.
