See in this GIF an unnusual variable star, V838 Mon, that exploded doing several bursts. It could be observed by amateurs with just a small telescope. The GIF has been done adding several images by the Hubble Space Telescope.

From crazy scary effing and jeffing at to joking and laughing with the conductor on the train to Blackpool North. Including drunk men respectfully removing their feet from seats when asked. Love !

I’m on the 1930 train, sitting on the floor. I have a ticket for THIS train. I also have a SORE BACK from people pushing and shoving and I feel badly shaken. Very very very badly managed, please can you let me know how I put in a formal complaint and get a refund?

very situation at tonight. I almost got against a barrier waiting to be let on the train, and the destinations have all changed and I have to go to Lancaster to get to Preston. Absolutely ridiculous overselling of tickets. Very very scary.

People of Space: I'm calling for your help. **What do I do after my PhD?** 🤔 I'm after some advice. I'm not sure about staying in academia. My PhD expedience has been ... mixed. What other options are there for still working in the space industry? Please Com&RT!

When I received the first one of these calls I was sitting with my one year old on my lap, on a family holiday. I had decided that even though my harasser had not been dismissed (2 year restraining order and final warning) I was going to move on...

This confirms a long standing suspicion, my commute to work does actually cover a distance that can be easily seen from space.

I am definitely still , but my job title sometimes clouds that if someone doesn't know me personally. I am fortunate to have a permanent job, but I dislike the assumption that it means I'm no longer in need of (or eligible for) support.
