At 0:35 they point their guns at my building.
At 0:45 one of them fires.
All of us residents have been hanging out our windows watching what has been happening. No one has thrown anything down, so I donโt know what prompted this.

Probably worried about snipers or somebody throwing things. Best to. Just stay inside. Would help if the news stations were covering the events taking place in DTLA.

Why would they worry about snipers during a peaceful protest? Why would that even be a concern in a residential area? It isnโt. Supporting or trying to rationalize this behavior is standing on the wrong side of history.

Please stay safe. Now you know. This is the threat all Black people in LA are under. I was born here and raised with that understanding. Seeing the national guard pull up in my hometown was enough for me in 1992.

Thank you. I ended up leaving LA and I have mixed feelings about the decision.
Thereโs a need to document these issues with the police, but it started to feel too unsafe to do so.

Disturbing. This is literally why people are protesting. This officer used lethal force, for what? This is why I understand protestors becoming increasingly violent in response.

Then why does he continue to point his gun at the building for 5 more minutes?? No one was throwing anything or yelling, he had no reason to aim at the building from the start or to continue to aim at it
