Unemployment rate for over 50s now equals younger workers; 2.6% of adults aged 50 & 64 are unemployed & is same rate for those aged 35-49 says Office for National Statistics. Workers 50+ make up 32% of UK employees compared to 21% in 1992 with women aged 60-64 working more

Sainsbury’s announces plans to introduce refillable packaging after pledging to halve its plastic use by 2025. It has reduced its use of plastics by 1% over the last year & looking at introducing refillable milk bottles & reusable bags for fruit & veg.
