Kubernetes has been GA on GCP so long I tend to take for granted all the benefits of GKE: fully managed control plane, nodes, and automated upgrades. RBAC and IAM integration. Metrics, logging, and auditing out of the box. All embedded in a clean UI.

Many apps exit immediately when receiving a SIGTERM signal. If you are running your app in , it can be very beneficial to capture this signal and exit cleanly instead. has a very robust termination life-cycle, and you can learn more in my new blog post:
