Olympic events involving teams should contain mixed flags. Imagine a North Korean and American figure skating couple. They should use the Olympics as an opportunity to celebrate humanity and commonality because it is still a geopolitical pissing contest no matter what they say.

I’m curious about what grade of oil they just moved. Was it purely US oil or was it mostly Arab content given LOOP is where Saudi, Iraqi and Kuwaiti oil ends up. Was this a re-export? No details in their press release, really.

Oh, and FYI folks, the SHADEN’s AIS was offline for 2 days before departing. Wasn’t transponding her position. That seems extremely odd for a supertanker to do in US waters.

If you use LOOP's average API of 30.5, it'll be just under 2 million barrels, or 286Kbpd.

Whatever your export forecast will end up being for this week (to be reported next week), make sure to add 286Kbpd to it because the Saudi supertanker SHADEN just took off with the first crude oil export out of LOOP. Then again, there's always the Adjustment. OK, good night
