Worse business in the long run to sell now, fail to get replacements in and go backwards on the pitch.

He'll be fine when he realises he has no choice, a good season makes sure of the move. And even better for us if they do turn to others!

You kept him for a year after he wanted to go. Didn't do too badly that season, if I remember correctly...

I'd rather have the player than money in the bank.

We don't need the money plus the offer is 'only' £82.1m, the rest is in add-ons - they've barely upped it since their first bid.

We have that money to spend now. Don't see why holding onto a player we have no need to sell is being seen as such a bad thing.

If we could have bought Keita this summer, we would have. Leipzig won't sell - that is the whole point. If that changes, Coutinho will go.

No point selling without deals in place. Plus we know who we want and can't get them. World Cup year, Coutinho will be fine come Sept.

In May/ June, yes. But with less than two weeks left in the window and the players we're want "not for sale", the money is irrelevant.

This is clearly the plan but, surely, it will only get 's backs up more? It will hardly help soften their stance.

Totally agree but after all the negativity recently I think it'd be good if people actually enjoyed a big win - for tonight at least.

We don't concede that late goal (the only thing TAA got wrong all night) and that's about as good a European away as you could ask for.

A good team with a top home record, they were always going to have chances & yes, we could've scored more but so much to be positive about.

Anyone complaining after that has clearly forgotten what European aways are like. Not perfect but managed it brilliantly for 80+ mins.

Nervy ending but a superb result. Alexander-Arnold a real rising star, Mane is just too good.

Plan A doesn't have to mean only one player though, that's how I took it anyway.

I get that & I am too. I just hope frustrations with issues in the transfer market aren't transferred onto Klopp & the XI on the pitch.
