Good luck to PM designate , we wish him all the success for the sake of Iraq. He will face the same challenges as his predecessors, it will be a huge achievement if he is able to make headway with reforms and defy the political status quo

Unfair to expect one person to change the system, especially with how entrenched the vested interests are, but if he acts honestly and pushes for reforms and justice, and people see tangible improvements then they will back him

The issue protestors and the wider public have is that the same parties and the same system they are protesting against is nominating Allawi for PM, making them suspicious that he will be any different to Abdul Mahdi. Don’t expect that attitude to change quickly

Can we please not ignore the fact that he is as corrupt if not more than his predecessors?! How do we wish luck to such a bag of filth?
