From Jan to June 2019, Port recorded an impressive 5.2% growth & performed better than many other ports. During the same period, containers shipped worldwide grew by 0.5%, vis-à-vis the 3.6% growth in 2018. Growth prediction for throughput dropped from 3.6% to 2.5%

I am confident that National Evaluation Policy— a reform that I advocated for many years— will be passed in Parliament soon. Such reforms shouldn't be affected by sporadic political changes. These gyrations come at the expense of policy stability choking our nation's growth
