It used to be that nurses were in the office working on the pts behalf - arranging appointments, chasing things up, contacting relatives etc. Has this changed? Would be worth researching as the feeling is clearly that it has.

I'm doing a 10k walk up Snowdon on the 13th of Octoberand walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in September in Peru for Cavell nurses Trust. They help nurses, Midwives and health care assistants, both working and retired, when they're suffering personal or financial hardship.
