Our healthy holidays provision has been a great success over the last few weeks, families have been able to come into the centre for a free lunch and the children have had the opportunity to play and be creative! 3 more weeks left 😃

This week we've tweeted about our student sponsorship schemes for young people in India. Last year families lost their main bread winner when a cylcone killed 300+ fisherman. Children need support from these schemes so they can be educated. Visit to donate

Anna De'ath, a teacher and SVP member at De La Salle School in St Helen's says that the SVP's 'Greenhouse' intensive teaching project is successful because its not about "what teachers do TO children, but what they do FOR children."

Children at De La Salle school, St Helen's receive special help if they are struggling with lessons. It took only 3 months in the SVP's intensive 'Greenhouse project' for pupils receiving help to improve their literacy and numeracy age by an average of nearly a year. Amazing!

At De La Salle School in St Helen's SVP members (teachers here), dedicate spare periods to an intensive teaching programme for disadvantaged 11 year olds called the 'Greenhouse project'. Teachers observe children's social skills to give them additional help in good behaviour.

Every year hundreds of children attend our SVP camps around the country. These camps give urban kids from challenging backgrounds the chance to have fun in a natural environment. Let's pray that the children at Bosco camp get a camp fire this year!
