Every PhD student should receive significant training in presenting and writing. These skills are often developed quite poorly and result in major levels of anxiety for students. No matter what vocation students end up in post PhD, these skills will serve them well.

Current silicon-based PV tech is not sustainable given construction depends on non-renewable materials. Using organic (carbon-based) materials that emulate plant photosynthesis is such an exciting proposition! Good luck with your studies.
