I spend hours of my life trying to tell ppl y they should care about a marginalized community. I talk to politicians, organizations, & businesses. I want to scream 😱 & tell them that they should just care about others who are in pain point blank.

Immigrants are complex individuals and we come from many backgrounds and have different dreams. We should be worthy because we are human and that should be enough. That should be enough. ✊🏼

Also the Right has gotten very good at leading the narrative on major issues in the media. The spread of right-wing language into mainstream media is well-documented. I think they’re mad this is a major convo we’re having that isn’t on their terms for once.

I think a lot of people are still stuck on ahistorical organizing and activism, which makes Trump seem like a unique short-term problem rather than the manifestation of long-term problem we never addressed.

The white supremacists’ whining about the 1619 project really shows the power in knowing our history. White folks have been whitewashing history for a reason. They know the truth weakens their cause.

Truly grateful for everyone sharing their insight. Keep your answers coming in - you can be as detailed as you like or as simple as you need. All advocates from any corner are welcome! (Again, not replying because I want people to share their thoughts independent of my input).

Marriage Inequality for is fucking me up right now. The government decided that because I have a live in boyfriend I don't deserve the benefits I qualify for. Now there is an inherent power balance in my relationship, because they made me a burden to him.

Afro Indigenous and Black Natives are quite real and they have a lot of wisdom and you need to go think about this because antiBlackness is not a good look for anyone.
