looks awesome! just be careful with interpreting d13C as C3/C4 vegetation changes. most often it is more likely related to epikarst hydrology, cave ventilation and kinetic fractionation...that might make it a cool (dry season?) hydrology tracer...

my sympathy! this is NOT ok, and not finding a reviewer after such long time is no excuse - the editors job is to make sure he/she finds reviewers in time! if thats impossible they should discuss how to proceed w/ your paper. bad job by Eds! science suffers from such issues!
