It is a hashtag that is commonly used among supporters of Assange and WikiLeaks. I'm sure you know that the use of a particular hashtag does not imply agreement with it, or with everyone who uses it.

With its moves to ban Chelsea #Manning, the Australian government is declaring: "Warmongers are welcome. Those who have sought to oppose war are not."

Does the SEP using #Unity4J mean they agree with the unity campaign principles: achieving unity by papering over of political differences, while stifling and smothering discussion and debate in order to build a mass movement to free Assange?

#Unity4J is not just a tag to denote a subject or topic, it represents a definite political platform
So I would think that using such a hashtag indicates support for the position inherent in the phrase
The SEP should make explicit its perspective on Unity, important demarcation

Here is footage of Mike Head of the SEP (Australia) excoriating the "No Politics" perspective of #Unity4J as a dead end for the campaign and working class which involves cosying up to the far right. He is debating Suzie Dawson at an event in Sydney. youtu.be/6BDU66WCHjA
