This week SASC voted to report 280 military nominations and the following civilian nominations: Lisa Porter, James Stewart, James Anderson, Gregory Slavonic, Charles Verdon, & Charles Stimson. Last night the Senate confirmed Mr. Slavonic & the military nominations.

Under the admin, we have been able to begin the long process of rebuilding our military after eight years of chronic underfunding & budget cuts. Chairman fully appreciates continuing to rebuild our armed forces cannot be accomplished in just a year or two.

Today SASC voted to favorably report 256 pending military nominations, including ADM Philip Davidson to be Commander of U.S. Pacific Command and GEN Terrence O’Shaughnessy to be Commander of U.S. Northern Command and NORAD. All nominations now move to the Senate floor.
