This is incredible. I never heard of open hiring like that. Thanks for putting me on to that article. You always come through.

So many people think a sentence ends when someone gets released from prison. Often, it doesn’t.

👇🏼 I’ve been fortunate to meet individuals that haven’t let the past define them. Improvement as a human is hard. People wanting to help are out there.

is a growing, dynamic, supportive community, helping those with a particular challenge to face and overcome it. has a powerful story, and has overcome much. We all have, in our own ways. If you find yourself needing that kind of support, reach out!

Worth the read! is an amazing resource for those who have been incarcerated, allowing some guidance on options when released.

This reminds me of another comment referring to my transition from prison to software development. "When you roll a rogue, dont like the class, and reroll a wizard." Best compliment ever!!!

Rick is forming a great community. If you could use help, or you’re an experienced developer interested in volunteering time, you should reach out to him.

Y’all are gonna be waiting a while if you’re waiting for mine. I’m making that junior dev money. A Tesla isn’t compatible with this version of my current budget.

Many companies do background checks. Even without that sometimes ppl have a hard time getting around employment gaps.

are engineers from all over the industry. From the most well know large companies to the smaller boutique dev shops. They're experienced and compassionate. They're volunteering to show others how the industry works and how to get a start.

I grew up in trailer parks and both my parents are on welfare. When I was released from prison I didn't have a degree and didn't know a single professional developer. I learned that you need help. You need people. are those people. Reach out if you need help.
