Worked in the Gas Industry from 1977 to 2017,mostly in Devon. Too much money spent, following Exeter City & Automobiles, but I have enjoyed it.

The replay was one of the best FA Cup ties I have seen at SJP Driving rain,a mud heap pitch, both sides going for it,then Extra Time The game would not pass a pitch inspection these days. Maidstone had a great couple of forwards(Gall & Butler) & were a good Div 4 team A great game

Not many music venues are still around from 1980. Quite a eclectic mix of Artists on this poster Visited the venue on Sunset Boulevard,LA,a few years ago You do get the feeling of rock history there. All the great music venues(clubs) in the UK have long gone from that era.

Should be a interesting read. Gilly was a character from that great era.

There has been much rancour about Refs at SJP 😁😁 Kevin Johnson was ref for the Oxford midweeker & was excellent.

Β£10 admission these days is amazing. Lots of jealously around Salford FC & the club model, but I really don’t give a toss.

I used to service them. That is a Ascot 527. It deliver boiling water on one setting. That one looks well dodgy because it’s fitted too close to the curtains 😁 Pilot light on Bi-Metallic strip was the safety device.

The last football manager from a lost era passes. As hard as nails apparently. The shock when he left Villa was up there with Clough leaving Derby & Shankly leaving Liverpool Saw one of his teams play at SJP. A League Cup game in 1977 with 13,500 others.

Glasgow,Queen St to Fort William is a great spectacle once you leave the Glasgow suburbs. It takes about 3.5 hours.

The problem is the Coach will lose a huge amount of Β£ whatever the cost. The supporters club(who run GT iirc) are stuck between a rock & a hard place. If they charged Β£35 would it encourage more to travel ? I doubt it

Great bloke.A pleasure to have met him & help out on occasions. He once had to pay(Β£1,200)to stop the temporary toilet block from being repossessed at the side of the Flybe. He quipped β€œI am now the proud owner of a toilet block” Legend at SJP in those dark days.

Stuart he was at Accy when you were there on loan in Feb played 3 FL games in early Feb. David Martin played his first game for Accy in late Feb. You & he were not on the same team sheet for FL games in that period.
