There's a recurring theme here of politicians desperate for more restrictions to be imposed, but then moaning about the consequences of them. Khan and the curfew is the latest. - you demanded it. Don't try and pretend otherwise now we know it's a disaster.

My Polish father came to Britain to help fight the Nazis. He was a Captain in the British Army. I've spent almost half a century treating cancer patients here. What have you done Richard? The abuse on this platform is out of control. Public figures need to set a better example.

On issue after issue, and a handful of other Conservative MPs have continued to impress me so much. Fighting a lone battle in Parliament on behalf of millions of us. It can't be easy, and no doubt they are made to feel very uncomfortable by the establishment.

What I really don't understand is why the Government are so desperate to put so many areas into Tier 3. They know it is unlikely to be effective (possibly even counter-productive). They must know of the devastation it would cause to people, business & public finances. So why?

This is the crucial opportunity for the Government to take back full control of our waters. It's great for the British economy, British fishing communities and the environment. For me, it's one of the top Brexit tests. We're all watching closely .

No bloody wonder Burnham doesn't want Manchester to go into full lockdown, the positive test results are coming down! Fair play to him for standing his ground.

So let me get this right. Positive test results are already coming down in some of the worst hit areas. So why on earth are we going to stick them in lockdown? They'll continue to fall, and everyone will say how amazing lockdowns are. It's wrong and needs to be called out.

Positive tests are declining in Manchester so a decision to close all the pubs - T3 - will need a thoughtful explanation.

There can always be misinterpretation but this is just plain wrong. Karol has done more to bring awareness than most and he should be not be vilified. This is no time for finger pointing. The current approach is not allowing many to get treated, and it needs to change fast...

You said this 4 days ago Rachel.. Then done the same to today for no reason. He’s been highlighting the Cancer timebomb since May, whilst others have put fingers in their ears. HE WAS RIGHT. How are the book sales going?

I suggest labelling my concerns about cancer patients not getting the treatment they need as 'exceptionally insulting & misguided' is the callous statement Rachel. Govt need to provide staff the support they need. That has been my message on this. Lockdowns have consequences.

How will the EU ever take us seriously when they know our Civil Service is stuffed full of ultra-remainers? These 'servants' take our money, enjoy the cosy lifestyle and have huge pensions. It's time for a fundamental overhaul of how the crooked system works.

As with most things with Boris, watch what the hands are doing not what the mouth is saying. He's slippery. Making all the right noises, but let's see where we are in a month or so.

These politicians will be in their safe seats for decades, they're completely ignorant to the damage they're doing because it just won't affect them. When they emerge from their cosy bunkers and see the flaming devastation they've caused, will they show any remorse? I doubt it.

This thread is well worth a read and a share. So much of our media have behaved disgracefully this year, but at last some sense is starting to emerge.

So Labour are now the full lockdown party, and the Tories are the lockdown coming soon party. Both utterly devoid of any understanding of the damage their lockdowns are doing. Great work everyone.
