(1/2) Today, House Dems blocked my police reform bill from advancing for the 3rd time. We are back in D.C. after 7 weeks, and not one item on the Speaker’s agenda is an answer to the American people’s call for justice nor provides them with relief.

FLOOR ALERT: refused to advance legislation to reopen the (for the 40th time!), fund testing/vaccines & support our police. Why is STILL choosing politics over the pressing needs of Americans?

We are eager and ready to show up to work — unlike the Democrats. Millions of Americans have already returned to work. If they are willing to show up in person, so can we.

Democrats are taking steps to expand Speaker Pelosi's unconstitutional proxy voting scheme — this time into a fully-remote 'vote by text' operation. You can't make this up. Democrats can't be bothered to even show up for work and represent their constituents.

Throughout our history, Congress reported for work. The only difference between those difficulties and today is that we now have a Speaker desperately trying to consolidate power via an unconstitutional vote-by-text measure. Essential workers report for work, so can Congress.

If Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats are successful in implementing their “vote by text” operation, we are signaling to the American people that we operate by a different set of rules. If we expect the American people to go to work, so should we.

All across America, businesses and workers are finding ways to show up and do their jobs safely. The People's House shouldn't be any different. Speaker Pelosi & House Democrats' 'vote by text' operation is unproven, insecure, and unconstitutional.

., , and are exactly right: the Speaker's proxy voting scheme cannot become the new normal. It's essential for members of Congress to be in DC to vote, and making this change permanent would only centralize power and hurt the institution.

Just last week, members of Congress were elected to represent the people of their districts IN WASHINGTON. Why is Nancy Pelosi trying to keep us at home? Members of Congress cannot phone-in their constitutional duty.

Here we go again. are back at it - this time peddling an unproven, unsecure & unconstitutional “vote by text” operation that discourages members from showing up for work in Washington. Shameful!

The House should not allow members to vote from home. Remote voting will consolidate the power of the Speaker and weaken the House.

After facing defeat at the ballot box, Speaker Pelosi is once again attempting to consolidate power in the House of Reps. She is looking into a ‘vote by text’ operation that would let Congress skip work and continue to collect a paycheck from taxpayers. Unconstitutional!

Today, I went to the House Floor to force a vote on a bill that would unlock $138 billion in unspent PPP funds that could go to struggling businesses right away. Once again, my efforts were blocked due to partisan politics. I'll keep fighting to ensure this money is released ASAP

If only there was a way to bypass the partisan gridlock, release the $138 BILLION in unused funds & help keep workers employed. Well there is, but House Democrats blocked it 35x today including an effort from my colleague ⬇️

On the House Floor, I joined my colleagues in calling for the extension of the to provide immediate relief for America's small businesses. Watch as House Democrats denied my request.

Once again, Dems are unwilling to provide relief to U.S. . They don’t care about an issue or policy unless it advances their radical agenda.
