Idk that I’ve ever seen Salvy pimp a baseball like this. That swing was nutty. 😛

Nicky Lopez was hitting .294 over his last 6 games heading into tonight. He’s 2-2 with a HR tonight, making hit a .350 BA over his last 7.

2020 just won’t let us have nice things.

This is something that I think is widespread among baseball that the Royals have gotten infinitely better at in recent years. Rather than try to get your pitchers to fit a specific mold, let them do what they do best. They’ve made great strides in that regard, IMO.

Cause the Reds actually care about making their pitchers great at what their good at. ✌🏼

A big part of why I love the community: Jorge Lopez has struggled mightily in the last year and could be a guy for fans to dump on but now that's he has been DFAd, the comments are mostly wishing him well and empathizing with him as a human being.

This essentially means the Royals’ rotation is set for the time being: Danny Duffy, Brady Singer, Kris Bubic, Brad Keller and Jakob Junis.

We have reinstated RHP Chance Adams from the IL and optioned him to the alternate training site. Additionally, we have transferred LHP Mike Montgomery and RHP Glenn Sparkman to the 60-day IL.

Yeah for a LHP that tops out at like 92, that can be an issue at times.

I have an unreasonable desire to see Lucchesi in KC. I’m gonna be disappointed when it inevitably doesn’t happen.

True, but you don’t have to pitch in Colorado or Arizona anymore either. Or against the Dodgers, lol.

Among pitchers with at least 160 IP last year, Lucchesi had the 10th most valuable changeup according to FanGraphs. 4th best among LHP.

ZiPS has him projected for an ERA under 4 and 2.5 fWAR for each of the next two seasons. Kid has a nasty fastball/changeup combo with a good cutter to go with it. This is exactly the type of move KC ought to make depending on the price.

GMDM ought to get on the phone and see what it would take to get Lucchesi in Kansas City. Kid is under rated. I’d love to see him get a chance to pitch at The K for a full season and see if he can’t get his career 16.1% HR/FB rate down.
