You can find fault with one post for political reasons or just see the positive of ONE thing in many to help very many for different reasons. McDonald’s is on the list and without being judgemental many use them. Poor post, poor dig, see the point within many others. 🙄

It’s a very expensive thing and I don’t think it can be justified when basics are not being provided - ie access to sick pay. It’s actually not a dig - it’s a serious point. It is wasteful of public money.

100% One minute the Government is getting dragged kicking and screaming towards providing food for kids in poverty, because £120m is too much. The next minute they've magically found more than 4 times that amount to subsidise meals out for people who can already afford them.

How many " social rented homes" will be provided at Melwood to count towards the 90,000? (note the term 'affordable' is not used)

Correct. Housing Associations have been profit driven for 20 years, concentrating on 80% rents and shared ownerships. That's when they have not been selling off their best stock to bogus 100% rent companies, that they set up.

Hi Simon, I thought the term was clear and concise but James added another factor I'm not going to spend hours in deep thought. I do think a remedy is spending time to find a best match of carer and user to save time and best results! In addition to textbook theory.

Is the term misuse helpful when referring to people that use substances in a maladaptive manner? Or does it just increase discrimination and stigma?

I don't think its a hugely stigmatising term itself, but its certainly highly flawed in overlooking all the various contextual factors and also by implying there's a clear line between use and misuse
