A very happy holidays to all the children and their families. It’s been a first term like no other but we got through it with creativity, perseverance, resilience and good humour. Very proud of our whole school community. We’re always learning together to be the best we can be.

A very fond farewell to our pupil support assistant Mrs Alexander who leaves Rothiemay Primary today to start a new job. She has been at the school a very long time, doing various jobs but we found out today that she was also a pupil here. We wish her all the very best.

These unique sculptures were created by p6/7 as part of a getting to know you activity. Even in a smaller school there is always some things we don’t know about each other.

When you’re lucky enough to have a view like this from your playground, why would you not take learning outside? P4/5 took circle time outside this afternoon.

So proud of how responsible, respectful and patient all pupils were today as they embraced the new routines. A warm welcome to our new primary 1s and new pupil. The weather may have been stormy this morning but blue skies arrived to welcome everyone back to Rothiemay primary.

We are so proud of the values shown by our p7s in lockdown and during their years at Rothiemay Primary. The weather stayed fine for our socially distanced outdoor presentation. Lovely to see them all together and hear their laughter. We will miss you
