I’ve been asked to write an article titled “How Deacon Ministries Have Changed in 50 Years” I get the jokes this could produce, but seriously, any thoughts? And pass the jokes along too if they’re really funny.

Leader, don’t expect everyone to understand. They can’t see all you see or know all you know. You’re “leading”. That means going to an unknown reality. It’s more important they trust you and you genuinely value and steward that trust. And communicate, communicate, communicate.

More on this later, but I was contracted recently to write a 90 day men’s devotional book. Finished today. Will send to the publisher tomorrow. Lots of editing in between I’m sure, but should be released this summer. Stay tuned.

Leader, limit making decisions that you can allow other people to make. There are too many decisions in a day. The more you empower people to think and then focus your attention on making decisions only you can/should/are most qualified to make, the better your decisions will be.
