Correction: single airstrike, followed by thermal flares to prevent the SAA from locking onto the aircraft with heat-seeking missiles from its batteries at Qamishlo airport.

US warplane over Qamishlo following the airstrike, in footage. Militiamen from the checkpoint where the confrontation took place were last year involved in clashes with the Autonomous Administration's Asayish internal security forces which left 16 dead.

Overtaking and tailgating US Special Forces takes real bravery. In the old days in Iraq (after 2003) anyone trying that didn’t live long.

Yea...more and more, troopers on the ground in Syria are on their own when patrolling. Now, when seconds count backup or air support is 10s of minutes away. I too am amazed they don't light'em up either.

Definition of several is more than two. I see two in the video. More likely to be breakdown than damage inflicted by crowd. I'd say remarkable restraint by the US. But, wtf was the antitank missile doing bungled to the side of the last vehicle ? Asking for trouble ya nuggets

I doubt very much they were in 'retreat'. They go where they want, within reason.
