Rogue POTUS Staff 8h
"This guy is an idiot. He has no idea what he's doing." Overheard by Trudeau to Freeland.
Catherine McMurdo 8h
I'm not questioning your veracity in the least, but MAN, I have trouble imagining Trudeau being so crass and unguarded.
Rogue POTUS Staff 8h
Wouldn't exactly call him "unguarded." We had to go out of our way to do some eavesdropping. We were a bit surprised at tone, too.
Shane Conneely 8h
vraiment? Pourquoi ils n'ont parlent pas en Français?
Candy Cane 7h
Is he "sure"? He's asking why he didn't speak French.....
Shane Conneely 7h
je sais pas comment on peut dire, qu'elle que chose comme ça... vous avez souligné le ton... c'est un brave traduction
Ashley 7h
could mean …"Are you sure [that he didn't say it in French]?"
Shane Conneely 7h
I'd kinda expect someone to say that in French though, or at least to not put a translation in quotemarks
LucyVanPelt 6h
when French Canadians are talking in "secret" they use street slang, almost no one can understand
LucyVanPelt 6h
Also, this is not from french. you would never say that.
George Washington 4h
Freeland is from Alberta, they also don't speak Quebecois street slang.
LucyVanPelt 4h
I know. But they were definitely talking French. That was the good stuff.
LucyVanPelt 4h
Meaning, the french speakers were talking french.
George Washington 4h
If in french, and slangy / accented, it could just as easily have been "they" as "he" (1/2)
George Washington 4h
and "not know what he's doing" could also be "he doesn't see the consequences of his actions"
LucyVanPelt 4h
could be. I don't believe anyone spoke french to Freeland, and syntax doesn't sound French
