Eye-watering report in ⁦⁩ on the HS2 boondoggle. £4.1bn before work even begins!!!! High speed rail pointless over U.K’s short distances. Time saved not worth it. Should spend the money making what exists, work properly.

There's a really simple answer, don't cover the windows with anything. The "livery" is utterly dreadful, why didn't you get an expert in?

HS2 to cost >£100 bn and be four years late, according to report done with Michael Byng. It coincides with Chairman Higgins farewell statement today - 'HS2 is more than a railway'! Yes, a bottomless pit of a railway. Maybe money spent better upgrading existing lines!

Alpe d'Huez 2016. The 21 hairpins were scary enough in a hybrid car!

Gin and tonic sorbet from Willans at Oxenholme station. Which has morphed into a G&T slush. Still as delish.

The Isle of Wight isn’t the only place with former London Underground trains. This is the excellent Alderney Railway.
