Going to have to disagree on this one, the Taliban would ride in and murder all of the politicians in Afghanistan if the US military leaves right away. They need more economic investment and investment in the creations of institutions to keep the afghan people productive.

It is extremely naive that one can be a superpower and leave a region where terrorism is a daily part of life and wipe your hands "Well, we're done with THAT pointless war". I said this many times: 10K troups in ALL strategically important locations (share expenses).
