Great to take the time today to speak to people who’ve used the furlough scheme. I listened to business owners fighting to stay open and employees raring to return. This week we’ll launch Phase 2: flexible furloughing which I hope will help get us back up and running.

Businesses have so far benefitted from over £32billion in loans and guarantees to support them during this crisis. Today we've increased the maximum CLBILS loan size from £50 to £200million to ensure large firms have enough finance to meet cashflow needs.
