Yes, that is a case. An idea is not something one can copyright, the way it is 'fixed' is. This is a trace-over or your idea with some slight changes. You should register the copyright today and contact them for a settlement. Lovely work, by the way.

Copyright is an automatic right. You don't need to 'register' anything anywhere.
