Why do browsers not have a simple preference option to process shortcut keys *before* a page's bogus js gets to see/react to them??

So sick of pages where ^W (and sometimes even the tab x) doesn't work until the page finishes loading b/c some js wants to see other keys..

"Access to keystrokes" should actually be a permission sites have to request and get you to opt into.
