I don't like Castro. I just like him more than the teams other option. If you think I like him, I'd probably invest in reading lessons. But thanks anyways.

If you ranked all the catchers in baseball, I'd put Castro somewhere between 25 and 30. Which means he should be a starter somewhere, but he's a very low end starter.

I know he's better at hitting. Gimmenez was a better hitter too but you didn't see me asking for him to play over Castro. Gimenez had a .350 OBP last season. The average OBP for catchers in 2017 was .308

Because even Castro is an above average offensive catcher. That's more a reflection on the fact that there's maybe ten catchers across the whole league who are above average hitters compared to all positions
