Today the dropped and it's a big freaking deal... Is the current community ready for the influx of new creators who will have access to the medium? I'll have to say nope, as a newcomer to the VR community in SF.

Last weekend, I got the opportunity to attend , an international festival of digital creativity via volunteering. One of my favorite installations was with hosted by Ryan Edwards. Their sound sculpture installation is an musical instrument.

RJ as a tool sets up the perimeters for victims to articulate their needs and set up safeguards/plans of actions that will allow them to move forward to restore their feeling of safety etc. There are many circle processes within RJ not only victim and offender conversations.

If someone's not willing to own their healing process, then a RJ process is a non-starter. All in all, restorative justice isn't meant for every situation (its a tool)... but atleast, allows for interactions, healing, accountability, and conversations that ARE NEEDED.

Those who know about restorative justice know that it is a process... restorative justice processes can take years (sometimes) of preparing both victims and offenders to be ready to sit in circle. You can google search the use cases of rj and the success for women in harassment

I know for a fact that based on the indigenous leaders and experts that research and explore rj use cases, a year will only allow you to scratch the surface of what rj can do, including the introspective personal work it takes to rewrite trauma etc. to understand it

Correct, . We can be the product of our environments meaning punitive society/systems = punitive people, relationships, communities. RJ is a tool... individuals, victims too, need to take responsibility for their own healing processes because hurt people, hurt people.
