Lest we forget. Freedom comes at a price - we are the greatest country in the world because men and women are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for freedom - our freedom and the freedom of others. This D-Day remember the ones who never returned, thank the ones who did.

Agreed... How can you truly be focused on reform and safety when you are focused first on the bottom line and increasing your profits... Look at DCF where kids are dying because of corporate greed - now the Gov wants to do that to the prisons.

What’s wrong with asking how we pay for something? What’s wrong with being good stewards of precious taxpayer dollars?

Here are the voting results for today's KPERS re-amortization. In this vote, those opposed to the Gov's plan voted Nay. All Republicans, joined by 4 Democrats, voted together to defeat this horrible attack on our retirees.

Privileged to host child welfare professionals and foster families from across our state this week. Discussions were had on how grassroots efforts to protect our children and foster families could occur.

Republicans are simply not willing to saddle our children and grandchildren with the $7.4 Billion price tag of Governor Kelly's plan just so we have an extra $145 Million to play with this session.

Cold does not do justice to this temperature. How would you describe this temperature at our state’s Capitol?
