Happy Veterans Day to all those served. This past week the House of Representatives passed by bipartisan votes a series of 14 bills to help veterans on a number of issues. Including a bill I cosponsored, H.R. 1133, the Veterans Transplant Coverage Act of 2017.

This morning Millbrook High School honored area Shenandoah Valley veterans like World War II veteran and ex prisoner of war Carmel Whetzel and his wife Carol. Carmel is still going strong at 94 years and it was wonderful to visit with him.
