The killings of RUC officers by the IRA have also been reopened as a result of information received by the coroner in these inquests. There is significant public interest in these being heard. That there is no schedule for these inquests is very disappointing

The families affected by Shoot to Kill incidents in Armagh have never seen inquest concluded. Their loved ones were shot and killed by the RUC in 1982. They have seen two independent inquiries suppressed and continual obfuscation in the courts. The European Court urges remedy

The linking of cases, while it makes sense, also groups together complex and contentious cases where "state of readiness" may always slip as the state evades its responsibilities. We recognise the difficulty of the task but will equally keep raising the evident unfairness

While this statement is important as it indicates progress on legacy inquests it will be very disappointing for many families who have never had inquests who do not have firm dates and for families who were granted fresh inquests ten years ago who also do not have firm dates

I want to thank everyone who has supported my family & I. We really appreciate it. We must rise above hate & division. This election is about opposing Brexit & the damage it will cause to our economy & our children’s futures. Let’s send a clear message on December 12th!

The hypocrisy of those promoting this vile propaganda is staggering. John, like myself, lost his father in the conflict and he deserves the same respect.

Amazingly remarkable and disgusting the UDA’s actions in support of the DUP have largely avoided the gaze of the media. The DUP has propped up the governing party in the UK Parliament for over two years so there is no excuse from the media whether in NI, the Republic or Britain.

attack the families of those killed by the British state and its allies in loyalist killer gangs they colluded with, just as these families stand up for justice, whilst all the time protecting the killers .

"All parties should find condemning this outrageous interference in and threat to democracy easy. Indeed it is their duty to condemn these developments, if they do not they are complicit in this outrage.

"That the same elements of loyalism are engaged in this type of tactic now John Finucane is running in a democratic election, 30 years after that murder and 26 years after ceasefires is sad and pathetic.

"That attempt at deflection did not work as the Finucane family, led by Geraldine Finucane have refused to accept anything less that full legally compliant inquiry into the killing.
