If you don't fight for now, here are the questions you will ask later... Why is my internet so slow? Why is my bill so high? Why can't I view this page? If you lose your mind because the internet is down or slow for 10 minutes, imagine if it was permanent.

This is assuming that your ISP would have a monopoly :) in a competitive market - customers flock to Service providers with best offers :) if is a good value prop - some ISP will tap into it w/o regulation

Welcome to how Rural Americans experience the internet today! charges us for broadband and delivers dial-up service! When you complain, they say "change providers" ... so you end up having to pay $90/mo for internet w/ HughesNet —there's no other ISPs

You're leaving out all the medical sites, the homework and reference sites, business-to-business sites, much less any shopping sites. They could ALL be concealed behind pay to play walls.

Nonsense. Just like the CEOs who laughed at the guy who was trying to prove a tax cut would mean new jobs, the ISPs are going to do whatever it takes to bring in more money. They'll be forced out by their competitors, otherwise.
