Aluminium is endlessly ♻️ Whether you're spraying deodorant, hairspray, shaving foam, or De-Icer, make sure you put your can in the recycle bin after it's empty 👍

Hi Nick I have just found out that Kettering Borough is intending to hold a compost sale at the Green Patch around May / June and will publicise the event on the KBC website and on social media. Hope this helps.

Around a staggering £12.5 billion worth of food is thrown away in Britain annually, if we stopped wasting good food we could avoid 17 million tonnes of carbon dioxide being emitted each year, the same as taking 1 in 4 cars off of UK roads. 🍕🍎🚗♻️

Do you know which plastics should go in the recycling bin? Lots of great work happening through The to make more plastics easy to recycle. If in doubt check out our Recycling Locator to get tips on recycling where you live:

More and more of us are recycling – but is there anything you’re missing? Remember to recycle those shampoo and shower gel bottles after your soak this National Bubble Bath Day!

Tradition says it's bad luck to leave Christmas decorations up after Epiphany. To help we'll be taking away real Christmas trees for recycling when garden waste collections resume in the west of the district w/c 7 Jan. But please remember to remove all lights & decorations.

Hi Nick im afraid not on a reguloar basis. Sometimes the district and borough councils have special events to sell compost. Who is your local council and I will check with them to see if they have any plans.

All households will receive an extra recycling collection this week (starting with collections taking place tomorrow). Please put your blue-lidded bin out on your usual day alongside any other bins you have scheduled for collection and it will be emptied.

Christmas cards with plastic, glitter or ribbon can’t be recycled. Turn them into gift tags for next year instead.

Now that the needles have fallen off your tree, it is time to recycle it. Remember to remove all your decorations first. Your local council will collect your tree. Check your council's website for info. Only real trees please! Or visit your local recycling centre and drop it off.

This Christmas, don’t bin small broken electrical items, take them to your local household waste recycling centre. You can find your nearest HWRC by visiting …/ho…/Pages/default.aspx. Or see if your local council collects.
