Wow. This is simultaneously the worse idea ever and the best Defcon contest ever.
Morning session- who can hack the stroller and kill the baby (sensor package) first.
Afternoon session- who can hack the stroller, abduct a "baby" and successfully retrieve a bitcoin ransom. twitter.com/mashable/statu…

For background, this (probably) uses @Decawave Ultra Wide Band, it's really sweet and works far better than anything else I've seen. This is a suitcase I tested that uses this tech- it's pretty amazing, but I would not put a baby on it. youtu.be/13uqdEKYUpA?t=…

You gotta think more devious: who can hack the stroller to sound a max volume child-snatcher alarm when the legitimate parent moves it, and refuse to stop?

I like your thinking, but let's go for max points and GPS route the stroller to the nearest police station. For bonus score route it through at least one public place.

Also I bet anyone who is having a baby has been wondering "these strollers are too cheap! How can we make them more expensive but not any more practical?"

There is always a market for products which tell your friends that expense is no object.

"control it with your smartphone"

So you jog behind the stroller as you come up to a crosswalk...
As you realize the stroller is now in the middle of traffic, do you (A) desperately run forward to see the stroller leap into more traffic (B) move back to make it fail to clear the curb?

I posted about this tech when it was announced as a prototype.
It looks to be an accident/tragedy waiting to happen & a future Defcon talk simultaneously.
I don't know if a project like this can ever have enough development time/security testing.

Its a great product for grandparents when they go to a supermarket but are too old and weak to move back to home with heavy shopping. Like legit product for a lot of situations except the one they decided to focus on lmao
