When the first baseman finishes the infield routine, he tosses the ball to a player in the dugout. That player tosses it back to him when he comes off the field after the inning.

When a Big league hitter is fouling off those “ Center cut” pitches, Their timing is off, or they are pulling off the ball or floating forward which causes the bat barrel to drag.. When they chase high pitches or bad sliders away they are not trusting their hands..due to timing.

I dont give a rip how”sick and tired you are Mr. Baseball! I never have, nor will I ever”make excuses”for any player. It is not in my DNA. Its all about timingand getting a good pitch to hit. We are awful at both right now! The days off contribute to the timing issue.

I always hated days off as an everyday player early in the year. When it got to August or September we all needed a day off.

I hate rainouts as im sure most of National fans do. The positive side is that everyone gets rested and those players nursing soreness or injuries have an opportunity to heal without losing game time. Plus if Davey chooses he can reset the rotation.
