Been using Action Dash's focus mode. In short, I love it. I block all social apps and its a great reminder to get back to work. Love this feature. I use the tile to enable disable it. I turn it on before I go to sleep and then when I wake I'm instantly reminded to focus.

is a fresh take on Dagger documentation that is easy to understand and doesn't have any mention of Thermosiphon. There's also sample code that goes along with it (and Kotlin is coming along soon!) so you can run the code and see for yourself how it works!

The landscape is shifting, now is the time to take functional, declarative programming and unidirectional data flow seriously (if you haven't already). With , not only app architectures but UI is also moving towards that direction.

Repeat after me: Retention, then recruiting. Make sure you have built a place people want to work before you try to hire the masses to join the misery. It will make things a lot easier.

it takes 1 minute for a designer to add unnecessary fanciness that costs a developer hours of time, technical debt, and can even make things less accessible by not using out of the box element features

Sadly, Nintendo has always played their own game. Not competing with Sony or Microsoft since GameCube days. They might be the only ones not jumping on the streaming bandwagon.

This applies in India too. Tax laws need more clarity and better tools.

What went wrong with Anthem? This is the story, based on interviews with 19 people who worked on or close to the game, of why BioWare's loot shooter was such a mess. It's also a story about a legendary RPG studio facing a burnout crisis. My latest:

I feel Q Beta 1's "a Service can't launch an Activity" changes will significantly limit Android's customizability and risks diminishing what makes Android Android. Please consider joining me in ⭐️ing this issue:

No, tech companies don't *need* employees to come into the office. 🤷‍♂️ Sure, some companies prefer it. This preference comes at a cost: Commuting is a tax paid by employees and their families. ⏳ Try instead. 👨‍💻👩‍💻

There’s now a subreddit for clever Galaxy S10 holepunch wallpapers… Sometimes the internet can be truly great.

Readability of code matters more than cleverness. Six months from now I do not care how clever I was before. I care that I can read it quickly and understand it.
