This was an exceptional interview. Can’t recommend enough. The risk that your pension fund is making in private equity and private lending is irresponsible and dangerous. Cc

It means that in the event of collateral failure there are gigantic systemic issues at DTCC and Euroclear and at all the futures clearing houses.

Yes, and once you look into how collateral works and who actually owns what in a bail out you can see how fragile it is. Euroclear pledged to ECB in 2008 segregated customer collateral as non-seg pooled. Spoke to Fed and they have same mechanism.

This is always a clear sign that the bust is close! I remember hearing similar “end of the business cycle” declarations about ‘The Great Moderation’. Actually didn’t Chancellor Gordon Brown claim that New Labour had ended Boom and Bust. Sadly these claims are always wrong.

Dont miss this. Christophe is one of my only go to people and his views and analysis are exceptional. He is off most peoples radar but his incredible investing career speaks for itself and his research service is one of the best.

Thanks Bruno. I’ll try. We’ve burned most of the furniture in the house to keep warm but I fear we will run out soon and be forced to put on a ugly Xmas sweater in January. The extremes we have to go to are unimaginable.
