Very important to keep in mind the dangers and promise of eye tracking. Put the user first and use all the psychology you can to ensure the user knows what eyes can give about themselves and ensure they are making that choice unimpeded. It's a powerful tool for sure.

They still get assigned a human-readable name, though, I expect.

I just don't want the government and institutions giving me names. If they need to identify me, fine. But don't name me.

It'd be interesting if legal names were replaced with public key cryptography. Institutions don't actually care what I call myself, they just want me to have a unique identifier which is approved by the gov. 🀷

WHEN this info starts to roll out, a lot of people will avoid ever getting into VR because of all the bad headlines about the privacy concerns behind Facebook VR. Until more companies start competing with Facebook headsets and prioritizing privacy, this only ends one way. 6/11

Twitter making every retweet an automatic quote-tweet is such ass. I just want to share pictures of rats other people’s rats without being encouraged to create discourse.

Imagine if universities formed a consortium to pay open source projects like Jitsi to develop and maintain software instead of pouring gobs of money down the drain for licenses for products ruled by overlords that can censor as they please.

Oh! I try to avoid produce that'll go bad really quick. If it doesn't have a long shelf life, I'll buy it with a particular meal in mind and schedule preparing it within the week. Bread and some fruit is a big hassle here. Cabbage, carrots, pasta, can last ages.

I usually cook small portions that I can eat in one day. I never end up getting around to leftovers so I try not to leave any. 😁

tfw when a job posting perfectly describes what you do, you're in the market for a job doing exactly that, but it's at a company that actively destroyed your past two companies and is now working on destroying the world 😭

Is there a way to bridge radicle repos to Github repos and back? I think that'd make adoption a lot more seamless and counter some of the network effects GitHub currently holds.

Honestly I'd rather pay a few hundred dollars for some software one time and be able to use it forever than a monthly subscription.

I think I found some bugs to iron out in my implementation, but here's some progress on loading IPNS URLs in This is using js-ipfs-fetch under the hood to do the actual loading. 😁
