Dynamism / creative destruction / mobility (which can be downward) play a huge part in why Americans have always been churchgoing or spiritual (First and Second Great Awakenings, for instance). Change is difficult and the US is the land of change, for good and bad.

Effective tax rates and the overall tax rake on the economy haven't changed much since the late 1950s even with huge expansion in Great Society. What has changed is the increasingly rigid nature of the structural deficit, IMO. We want to eat our cake and have low taxes too.

Three months, maybe; six months, definitely. Great teams find themselves in legendary games. Two teams very much in vertical ascent met on that gridiron tray of grass Sunday in Phoenix.

Active managers who are not long something in the top 25-35 names should have a short thesis written on this because in an active management sense, they are short those. And not just a laundry list / boilerplate.
